Paolo Festa

R&D Manager at Arclinea

I am Paolo Festa, and since May 2021, I have been the R&D Manager at Arclinea, part of the largest family in the world of design – Design Holding.

My background

I started as an architect, graduating from IUAV in Venice, but I quickly grew professionally within companies. My first job was at Arclinea, where I began in the basics of the R&D office, later becoming the link between the company and Arch. Antonio Citterio.

What I love most about my job

What I love most is that every day I learn something new, both professionally and personally. But, in particular, I enjoy trying to connect the "dots" between suppliers, teams, production, and, last but not least, Antonio Citterio, to innovate with Arclinea's products.

How do you think your job will evolve in the coming years?

The evolution we have outlined for the near future is to expand R&D and merge it with university research to trace the development of living spaces.

My advice for someone starting out in this profession

After university, a few days before starting to work, a friend told me, "You studied as a freelancer. Even if you join a company, keep your mind free. Don't settle; always be eager to learn." These words helped me a lot in my journey, and I repeat them to anyone who asks for advice.

Three words to describe your experience with the brand:

Everyone who knows me is aware that I am passionately in love with the world of interiors, especially with Arclinea. When I was called to take on the role of R&D Manager, it was a genuine emotion.
